The government and the parties in the high-level political committee became active to prepare a favourable environment for the election. The talks agenda between one of the disaffected parties, CPN (M), and the main parties included the finalisation of major issues of the constitution through a roundtable conference, which gave a new turn to the political developments. The chances of November election looked more promising after the continuing talks and about roundtable conference between the government, the Election Commission, and main parties preparing for the election on one side and those opposing the election. However, there were no in-depth discussions on the difficulty of consensus within the roundtable conference and how it would affect the scheduled November election.
