Sushil Pyakurel is a former commissioner of Nepal’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and founder of Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC), a notable human rights organization in Nepal. He has been working in the human rights sector for the past 3 decades. He is the recipient of Gwangju Prize for Human Rights for 2010. At ASD, he guides the board on all contemporary issues.

Amuda Shrestha is a professor of management at Tribhuwan University and a member of National Women’s Commission, Nepal. She also served as Campus Chief of Shanker Dev Campus, Kathmandu. At ASD, she advises on women, education and media issues.

Hira Vishwakarma is a development management professional and an activist of Dalit community. He is the Executive President of Dalit Studies and Development Centre (DSDC). He has been engaged in the development sector for the past two decades. At ASD, he advises on human rights and media issues.

Dr. Mukta Singh Tamang

Dr. Mukta Tamang is a lecturer of sociology/anthropology in Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from Cornell University. He has conducted several research studies in the areas of social inclusion, indigenous people and other minority groups in Nepal and South Asia. He is a well-known resource person in the areas of participatory approaches and rights-based approach to development.
